A Little About Me…
My name is Caitlin Murphy and I’m an Irish maker. I graduated from The Glasgow School of Art in 2022. Following this, I spent two years at Bishopsland Educational Trust, becoming a Bishopsland Fellow.
I’m delighted to announce that recently my work has been acquired as part of permanent collections. Firstly, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland has purchased two of my rocking pieces : ‘Rocking Rainbow’ and ‘See - Saw’ : from Craft NI Gallery during a QEST Alumni Show. Secondly, the National Museum of Ireland has purchased my piece : ‘Wave’ : to join their permanent metal working collection.
I’ve currently returned to Glasgow to undertake an Artist in Residency at The Glasgow School of Art. I’m super excited to be developing my work while being surrounded by a creative environment. If you would like to keep in touch with my future endeavours feel free to contact me and I’ll add you to my mailing list.
